Geese Hunting

Following careful assessment of the wetland areas & the waterfowl populations the Northern Territory government declares a waterfowl hunting season for specific game species.

Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge has secured private areas of wetlands which provides hunters with prime wing shooting. The season usually runs from September through to end of December.

Magpie geese are the most targeted & sought after waterfowl in the Northern Territory. They are an abundant species & have excellent eating qualities.

Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge caters for small & large groups of up to 10 hunters. All geese hunting takes place on the huge floodplains in the dryer months of the year.
