Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge’s hunting safaris gives you the opportunity to hunt Australia’s most popular wild game animal – wild boar.

The Northern Territories tropical Top End boasts some of the best hunting for pigs in Australia. The Mary River Wetlands habitat is ideally suited to these cunning animals & their population thrives. They are a wild aggressive animal & challenging to hunt.

Pig populations are high & their growth rate is fast. Boars up to 130kg are common and 100kg boars are frequently obtained. Point Stuart Wilderness Lodge has access to some of the best environment & always guarantee success.

We cater for rifle or bow hunters, the novice & experienced.

Safaris operate from August to November. In these later months the wetlands are at there driest making opportunities to take trophy boar easier.

Experienced guides ensure the upmost safety while on safari and will make the experience one to remember. Clients are encouraged to bring their own firearms, however a variety are available for client use. Guests are to supply or cover the costs of ammunition.

We use a variety of vehicles to tackle the diverse environment. Paperbark forests, rainforest jungles, vast lush floodplains and billabongs. Dry floodplains rooted up by pigs is seriously rough country. To get deep into this environment we travel by UTV Rhinos with independent suspension & 4wd with diff locks. Toyota Land cruisers & bull catcher style 4wd’s are also utilised.
